George Johnson Great Model Search 2010 Finale Speech

African-American entrepreneur George E. Johnson was a pioneer in terms of bringing black beauty professionals to the next level. In 1954, he founded Johnson Products Company and brought us into a new era of sophistication with black business trade.

Nearly 25 years ago, he created the first Great Model Search which became one of the most successful marketing campaigns of the company's history. In January of 2010, the new owners of JPC, Eric and Renee Brown, relaunched the Great Model Search to introduce the brand to a new generation.

On June 12, the "new JPC" hosted a Hollywood-style Grand Finale for the Great Model Search which featured a special tribute to Mr. Johnson and his wife Joan.
