Cat in pain

Cat in pain, need desperate help.
We' ve been to three vets with this problem, none of them offer a solution.
He's 3 years old and has this problem since his first year. Every month or so he vomits his food and then he throws up a lot of liquid. A few minutes later he lies on his back, screaming of pain. A few times he spends a few hours just lying in the litter box. He seems to be peeing and pooping normal. I don't see any worms in his vomit or in his poo, there's also no blood. The pain mostly last and hour or two and then he's back to his old self.
If any one knows what this could be, please help.

we've been to the vet over 7 times now. It seems to have passed now, he hasn't been in pain for a while now.

ur not showing much sympathy for it continually petting the area and enough to move him at that. I wonder if cats can get rsd..

What's rsd? We care a lot about our two cats, sometimes stroking his belly seems to ease his pain.

He's doing okay, I'm afraid to post but he hasn't had this in a while now. Last time I remember was maybe 2/3 months ago. We didn't change his diet, we didn't change anything...he's outside more though maybe the excersize is working for him. My guess is that it has something to do with his stomach.
