  • 'The Nightfly' album is such a perfect creation. It beggars belief that music can be that good. When I finally got to see Don and Walt in 2007,it was an incredible moment. Since the age of 17 in 1985,I had almost thought of Fagen in particular,as a mythical being, that seeing and hearing him in the flesh was truly a surreal experience. Was it really him? Weird.

This is one my favorite albums of all time. I think Don just piled up all these gems throughout the years and then laid them out. First was "...raindrops" on the radio The DJ prefaced the song by saying he thought it was one of if not the finest produced albums ever. The balance, clarity, quality, musicianship, writing... It's got it all. I was born in 1959 and let me tell you, he NAILED that era in this album. They could use some of these songs as background for Mad Men.

  • guitar solo in the begining is amazing

  • ahh me too

  • i do to

  • totally

  • I thought Fagen's motions were a little jerky. That explains everything.

  • fagen died when paul mccartney did back in the early 70's... fortunately walter becker is a master in robotics and made a robot that looked just like fagen to keep the music alive

it is a very realistic version of fagen though i have to admit...

jeff the skunk baxter is now doing weapons defense design for the military... so this becker robot thing isn't too far fetched
