Band: Cake
Album: B-Sides and Rarities
Song: Strangers in the Night
Lyrics: Strangers in the night
Exchanging glances
Wond'ring in the night
What were the chances
We'd be sharing love
Before the night was through

Something in your eyes
Was so inviting
Something in your smile
Was so exciting,
Something in my heart
Told me I must have you

Strangers in the night
Two lonely people
We were strangers in the night
Up to the moment When we said our first hello
Little did we know
Love was just a glance away
A warm embracing dance away and

Ever since that night
We've been together
Lovers at first sight
In love forever
It turned out so right
For strangers in the night

Ever since that night
We've been together
Lovers at first sight
In love forever
It turned out so right
For strangers in the night

  • @lakisdiako1 The monotone voice is one of Cake's trademarks, you either love it or hate it I guess. :P

  • I got like 666.

  • @whysocirrus I'm with this dude. Speaking ill of the dead, unless it's in ref to someone repeating mistakes (a number of political examples spring to mind but this isn't the time/place) is just tacky and says more about you then the person you're criticizing. *sight* ok, that's enough white-knighting/soapboxing

  • 210,000 get! Cake's my all-time favorite band, I earned this get.

  • I love Cake's cover songs, the only thing that was missing form this album that would have made it perfect is a cover of House Of The Rising Sun.

  • at first i was like ._.

and then... :-O mother of song

  • @kaostra love it

  • @oliverburke Haha I love this comment dude ayyyyyy ho!

  • @TheAmero666 your amazing bro

  • @lakisdiako1 Yes, as another mentioned, the singer's does that dryish tone. Does he not balance it with all those emphatic utterances (ala Billy Idol, Elvis, Michael Jackson...).

    "Awww, yeah!" &

    "Hooo!"

    "Aww, huh!!"

    "Yaaaaa!!"

    ...

    right?

It might grow on you :)
