My personal best time 9:36 in the PAL Version of the game. Previous (first) speed run 12:59.

SKIP TO ONE WINGED ANGEL: 9:47
SKIP TO BARRETS 65536+ DAMAGE PER ATTACK: 24:38

Played on a PSOne. Recorded in 720p HD. The camera did Auto-Focus the first minute. Didn't know about this at the time. I fixed the camera when I came to Jenova. This was my FIRST attempt. I know that I miss-clicked a few times. Especially when I used STEAL on the One Winged Angel.

Some people have been requesting a video of me killing the last bosses; since they do not believe that I can beat them at such low level. I guess this will prove them otherwise. However, I did not cut anything or speed anything up. So if you want to skip the Super Nova... I hope you know what to do. :)

No cheats have been used during this run, and it's entirely based on a playthrough on the PSone console. The PAL version runs at 1.0x speed, while the NTSC American version runs at 1.2x speed. There is a huge difference, really. So I do not count a NTSC run. The Andrew Farringa Record on a PC is neither comparable due to the fact that it runs much smoother on a PC, and have no black loading screen-times. I do not know what the actual best time of the PAL version might be, but I guess I am about 1 hour away from the world record. However, I did this a very long time ago. Just wanted to prove the other doubtful guys out there that it IS possible to beat the last bosses at a any level. I believe a party of level 28 is the absolute lowest possible, and even then it's do-able with some adept knowledge about the game.

Barret deals over (65536+) Damage. The reason the game cannot handle it is because of the 16-bit code it is using. 2^16 = 65536 the highest number it can calculate in the game. So if your character gets a higher number than this when dealing damage; it will be counted for as an instant kill. This works on any opponent in the game except Bizzaro Sephiroth, One Winged Angel, and Ruby Weapon.

Barrets Missing Score deals more damage depending on the materias AP level equiped on the WEAPON. Meaning the 8 materia slots that Missing Score has. So those materias that I use are the ones with highest amount of AP available. To give some great advice I would say that 8x Knights of the round is the best you can have, but it takes too much time to get. So 8x W-Summon/Magic/Command is a viable option. The final step is to give Barret 4x Hero drinks, and he will deal deadly blows to any target.

  • @QuebecStorm7 Yes, Super Nova is supposed to take 90% of the remaining health. :) Sephiroth had a copy of the Solar system, in case he would like to practice them or show off with multiple Super Novas.

@gokudabomb1 I do not know what you mean, but I will not say that you are wrong; in case you are right. ;)

  • Well, that's not the world record at all. GarlandtheGreat has a time of 8:39 at the Bottom of the Northern Cave on the PSOne version.

  • @TheDeadlymistake Fail...

  • @WickedServant Do so man. :) Post you answer when you find out that it's named like this when you are there. In about 7-8 o'clock position. I think it will say something else than bottom of the nothern cave if you place it like 1 o'clock. However, I'm sure you will find out. Of course it's legit man. :) Don't need to fuck yourself. :) You can fuck me. :)

  • @SecretMemorial I saw one other speed runner mention the spelling so you could be right.

Unfortunately the only way for me to find out is to play from from Aeris's death save all the way to the crater and place the floating save.

This is where you tell me to go fuck myself for heckling your vid.

  • @TheDeadlymistake Just because you suck at the game doesn't mean everyone else does. This is very much possible and you'd be a fool to think otherwise after people have been posting speed runs and low level videos for over five years.

  • @WickedServant Actually it's a mistake by the makers/or translators. This is how it is in the original game.

Proof 1#: Search for: "bottom of nothern cave. That's right, another typo" with the quotations at google, and you will find it as proof in the speed run guide you'll find.

Proof 2#: This video of a guy posting a similar thing and have many save files which says the exact same thing "BOTTOM OF NOTHERN CAVE" /watch?v=Tapm_A2uCXc

    Proof 3#: I did not cheat. :)
