This will show you how to ODIN your Epic 4G back to factory 2.2 DK28. This is great for trying to upgrade to the new EXT4 partition ROMs, or if you semi-brick, or boot-loop your epic. You can always count on ODIN to bring your Epic back to life!

Download the stock DK28 here (if flashing this file doesn't work, rename it by taking off the .md5): http://www.multiupload.com/C5YEZK3WF7

Download ODIN here: http://www.sdx-downloads.com/devs/noobnl/Odin3+v1.61andepic.pit.zip

Download USB drivers here: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/SPH-D700ZKASPR

Download One Click Root here: http://firon.net/xda/one.click.root.exploitv2.5.5.zip

1) Unzip all the zip files (USB drivers, One Click Root, ODIN)

2) Install the USB drivers, ODIN (if it requires it)

3) Power off your Epic

4) Open the keyboard, and hold the #1 key, and the power buttons at the same time until you get a yellow "downloading" screen

5) Open ODIN

6) Plug your USB cord in to the Epic

7) Uncheck "F. Reset Time" box

8) Click the "PDA" button

9) select the downloaded DK28.tar.md5 file

10) Click "start" (If it errors out, or completes in just a few seconds, it failed. You may need to pull the battery, and / or restart your PC to get it to take. When it completes successfully, the box on the left will say "pass".

11) Power on your Epic, unplug the USB cable, and go to Applications, Settings, Applications, Development, and check USB Debugging.

12) Plug the USB cable back in

13) Open the unzipped One Click Root Exploit folder, and click "run".

14) Follow any on-screen instructions. When it finishes, your phone will restart.
