TTTT or Together To The Top

"(tea roots) Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)".

Now that you've been equipped about copywrite in previous articles, you know the details and importance about making sure to have original content. This doesn't mean your videos will now forever be boring, there is "free content" out there that you can use if it is under the Royalty Free Creative Commons Liscence.

Royalty Free Music allows you to use the music in your videos for free and some dont. But, if you are profiting off of your video, then you have to make sure that the music that you are using is under the Royalty Free Creative Commons liscence. This is the safest route to go to take out the guesswork about how the music creater feels about others using his/her music for their personal use.

In the previoous blog, "The Video Making Proccess: Partnership Program Part 9", I explain in detail how you are to give credit to the artist's music in your desciption box. If you don't have this information, YouTube will request it and you have to make sure you meet their requirements. If you dont really understand what to write or post along with your video, then I highly advise you to check out this article so that you are equipped with this information that you need to know.

RJared suggests these sites for any music that you want to use for your videos. There are genres like blues, rap, disco, funk and lots of other stuff. Even contemporary and classic.

  • After much searching I found you. I upload videos & monetize. I follow all legal process. I received notice from youtube that my recent video was disabled for monetization for copywrite infringement. I used iMovie 11 sound, which I own. I took the video down, remade it, with sound from Jason Shaw, who grants permission to use, giving attribution under CC 3. This was last night, today I got another email from YT, disabling for monetization again. Do you have any advice for me? Thanks, Deb

  • Can this be done after you have already uploaded your vid? they offer you audio swap then fuck you after you do it demonitize your vid at least they did to me. I could see grabbing a lil wayne or some outside source but when they got a bunch of junk music there baiting you to upload it only to find out you been had. if i had a huge vid with a bunch of views id have been pissed thank god i discovered it when i did. thats bullshit
