@MrKoolDom That may not always be the best choice. But as my painting has evolved, yes I always use black. It helps with shading.

@TheFewzz lol. well I ended up painting with the udnercoat black and it works fine. But I quit warhammer 40k shortly after spending like 150 bucks on it. oh well. it was a fun experience while it lasted.

@ziljin I just got that paint set too, so now i am confused, undercoat black isnt primer and we dont even need it, confused!

can someone please tell me what ap has to do with infantry.i know it has something to do with armor save but i'm not sure.if yiu dont want to explain can you at least tell me what page its on in the rulebook.

You said for the plastic minaitures you can just paint directly on it? I ordered the 40k Paint set with 5 space marines. So I can just paint the Mordian Blue directly on it? I assumed the Undercoat Black was a primer but I read that its just regular black and they swear paint will come off by itself if you don't use primer.
