@winds1968 Eva been and sat at the Fly-sellers....? You know that place that is between the Southern Quay is it?? and the Headland now that would be a nice place to be in a Storm plus you have the benefit of getting some respite from the prevailing winds by getting some shelter in that stone-concrete structure that is at the back of the FLIES!! KERNOW ehh?? and fer always..You can take the boy out of KERNOW, but you can't take the KERNOW out of the boy..

@PETHICKCREW Where do you live.where about's??
-
@taylatoto Yeah..where about's??

@chloweee123 now-a-days me mum lives in Perranporth which as you know is just down the road from Newquay. So you live in the ajoining half next to 17 St. Annes?? Nothing much has changed for me from when I was a kid..except that now I am in America and I am older, yes I do know how to get home Geographically, but I'm still trying to get back home..It's kinda ironic really "though times may change; yet still some things remain the same." It almost feels like the gods are laughing at me.

@chloweee123 My cousins parents owned the 'Highbury' Hotel, and my great-aunt owned the Hotel next door I remember something like..Trebarwith?? My mother's mother lived in 9 Springfield Road, and me Mum later lived on Porth-Bean Road, and later lived @ 44, Edgcumbe Road/Ave. Edgcumbe is the Road that goes down to Trenance Gardens. Up on the woods by the old via-duct that the train used to go over there..used to be a budgerigar bird avery I used to spend alot of time after school there. continued

@chloweee123 And so I'd start to panic and wonder the streets crying looking to find my way home. Meanwhile, back at home my mother would have gotten home and once again had to call the local police again explaining that lil' Stuy has gotten lost again. Of course looking back I can only imagine just how embarrasing it must have been for my elders..and of course Newquay being a small town everybody no-doubt had heard about it.

yeah..my cousin Keith showed me this when I was a kid. We came upon what looked like to be a solid concrete walled up door, and we as kids of about 8-10 yrs often would wonder at what was behind that door..could be, or maybe pirate/smugglers treasure. Anywho, it set our imaginations to a workin' overtime. Never did find out about the history of that cave and what it was for and who dug it out and why they sealed it back up. So you guys check it out let me know iffen it is still there. thannks.
