every split second i can get from this series of videos makes me happy. Jimmy is an extraordianry magician. in my opinion, not another guitar player on earth can reach quite all the way into his back of tricks.
I agree with you; both the electric guitar with its effects and acoustic present different challenges and Malmsteen is a true talent. But the thing with jazz is that you can study scales and modes all you want and still not be a good jazz player. There's some kind of "right brain" creativity with jazz.

Apples and oranges comparing malmsteen to rosenburgs and the like,I appreciate both artists music.
Alot of people forget or dont know that playing gtr with "overdrive" at loud volumes is a art in itself(malmsteens a master of it)
