If more guns increases the chance that criminals and terrorists will get them, then explain the UK. They enacted STRICT controls, an almost complete ban on any handguns, and the only people who can get guns for use outside of a shooting range are farmers, and even then, it's usually a single or double barreled shotgun.

Gun-related crime went up after enacting that control. Do you REALLY want U.S. gun crime rates to go up? I don't.

Anything in the "wrong hands" is dangerous.

3 terrorists tried to execute civilians in Israel a few years ago. Guess what happened? They were dead before they managed to kill ONE person. Why? Because everyone else, the good, honest people, who care about their community and it's people, SHOT THEM.

Guns are a dangerous lethal weapon when held in the wrong hands and you are correct in saying people murder other people with objects other than guns. However more people die frequently from gunshot wounds than any other weapon. The murder rate would go way down if there were not any guns around and legit guns often become illicit because criminals steal them from law abiding citizens.
