If this had not been made for TV Chamberlain should have received an Oscar for playing Louis and Phillipe. It's simple perfect. Much better than DiCaprio

This is baroque music... but not baroque ballet... but a bad interpretation of it.

Great movie! I think it's reakky better than the "man in the iron mask" with L.di Caprio.

This movie is by far better than the 1998 version, and the music through all the film is superb. It´s a pity Allyn Ferguson has not the great acclaim he deserves.

I love baroque, but that costume reminds me of the Burger King.

@LexPhilogus ...Are you sure it's not mainly the crown and the funky wig?

It's a Arragement of two Ballets from Lullys Alceste, a Menuet (first Part 0:00 to 0:47) an the Final Scene "Triomphez genereux Alcide" (Second Part 0:47 to 1:44 )

@derLullist ...Many thanks for finally solving the mystery for us. You are indeed the Lully specialist!
It's interesting the way they merged the two pieces, isnt it?
By the way, they are definitely not performing minuet steps anywhere in there. ;-)
