In The Loop ( http://www.mpr.org/intheloop ) headed out to ask folks what they plan to do with their fabulous government tax rebate checks. Will they go out and spend the $$$ on electronics, toys, and trinkets, thus rescuing (as the theory goes) the economy? Or do they have something more mundane in mind?

THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT SENDING A CHECK TO ANYONE. you should re-write the intro to this video to say:
"tax payers are having some of their hard earned money returned."
whenever you read an article that says, "the GOVERNMENT ......" replace the word GOVERNMENT with taxpayers.
THERE IS NO GOVERNMENT that pays for anything. TAXPAYERS pay. READ THAT AGAIN.
Government pays for the bailout? nope. taxpayers.
Government pays for the wars? nope. taxpayers.
government pays for welfare? nope.
