you are witnessing Anne turning a chemistry flask into a bowl/note for a glass harmonium. The hollow stem gets threaded onto a rod,and once you have a couple of dozen glass bowls all on the same rod, you spin the rod, and stroke the bowls with wet fingers!

I have this record... but this is different. where did you find this version?

I liked it. I would have liked it more if there was some narration or lower third captioning to tell us exactly what were were witnessing. Yeah, it was supposedly about making glass bits for a harmonium, but it sure left us wondering. Oh well.
