What the hell is Sexton calling the flop for if he's not getting it in on a turn like that? Does he honestly think he's beat here?

anyone who thinks sexton is an idiot needs to learn tournament poker. general rule is the two big stacks don't want to collide. no need for sexton to risk all of his chips and his tournament life

Only real hands Mike can't beat r 87 or a set. Unlikely Andy leads on the flop with a gutshot draw. 87 suited only makes sense since he raised pre-flop. So your only losing to 87 (s), or pocket 8's, 2's, 6's or 7's. However, you have the only player at the table who can break you effectivly saying, I'm putting you all in. Very few hands will he do this with you can beat, AA KK QQ JJ 1010 99. No way is it an auto call / raise for Mike Sexton here. In the heat of the moment he just had a bad read

For a moment I thought mike was putting a reverse tell on andy when he slammed the chips in the pot like that. But then he folds to andy's raise!! lol. So not only was he weak, but he was letting everyone know. I think thats the worst part about the entire hand. That was very rudimentary. The fold wasn't the bad bc whos to say andy didn't open up w/ rags and hit a lucky flop? Either way he knew that andy was taking that pot.
