A method of using non-working mobile battery by hacking it wisely!!!!
Make LED's or fix it in any device you want n charge it when necessary.
It has great back up too...
Use any mobile battery but it should not be over-width(filled with gas whn over charged)

  • hey there, this is just what i needed. the project im doing is 7 leds powered by a motorola battery. have circuit board finished and all is well! but i still have to charge the battery using the cell phone. not so easy. i want to put a mini usb (type b) female

connector on my circuit board. mount the battery etc. there are 4 contacts on the battery. the 2 outside contacts are + and - my question for you is are the inner contacts for charging the battery? any help would be great. nice job btw.

  • @nobodydj : Most of mobile phone batteries consist of 3 or 4 contacts in which only two are +ve and -ve connections, remaining are for managing and limiting the current for mobile circuit. If you want to use these batteries for DIY purposes then use only +ve and -ve connection of the battery for charging and taking power out of it.

Use any of mobile or USB charger which normally has two wires, again +ve and -ve and connect these two wires with the only two (-ve and +ve) contacts of the battery.
