  • Finally found out that there are support races on the day (Sunday)

    Caterham Eurocup

    Caterham Superlites

    Caterham Roadsport A

    Caterham Roadsport B

Euroboss (pre Dec 2003 F1, IRL & F3000 Chassis cars)

Looks like it's gonna be a good day :)

  • Does anyone know if there will be any support races on the day?. As far as I know there will be just the 2 SL races at 1 hour each.

  • Great Sound..V12!!!!

  • agreed, the 3.5 litre days need bringing back even if theyre rev limited to reduce power. listen to the 1994 ferrari f1 V12, that was only revving to 13/14000 i think, and producing the same power as the current F1 engines, would be nice to have something similar!

  • @Breed86 Ok have you actually seen these in the flesh or are you just judging what they sound like from this video? 1.) The driver in this was only doing a demo lap and wasn't at any point on full throttle 2.) Their 750hp the same as the current F1's but are V12 not V8 and these sound miles better then the current F1 cars 3.) These engines have a much larger capacity which compensates the amount of revs they can do otherwise they'd just keep blowing up and wouldn't be reliable enuf.

  • And to think F1 have Dyson vac sounding engines in comparison.

  • Glasgow Rangers to win this year!!!!!!!!!

  • this thing sounded incredible on the start/finish straight

  • thats what I was thinking also. i love watching a1gp

  • its got very little to do with displacement, its to do with firing order, revs and the exhaust system. if displacement is the key here then why do the old 3.5 V12 f1 engines sound so good despite being smaller capacity? revs.

yes its a relatively cheap formula and i agree 750hp isnt bad from 4.2 litres for a "budget" racing engine, but i'd been told to expect so much from the sound of these cars, thats why im dissapointed. its not a bad sound by any means, but many past engines beat it easily

  • Comparing a big displacement GT engine's sound to this car's sound it rediculous. It sounds great.

  • olympiakos 4 ever
