Rock wall in a reef tank made with Marco Key Largo Rock, Marco Fiji Rock, black pond foam (epoxied), and 60 pounds of live Fiji rock (to seed). Lighting is compact FL, two 15000K MH and 1 20000 MH. The tank is a 180G. Thanks to Kanin and the others who pioneered this method! (FYI, the tank is still cycling, so no livestock... except for some zoas that are trying to keep kicking on the live seed rock).

  • This looks incredible, you should drop an explanation on how to do it :) thanks!

  • @tolbeano1 You can find a lot of tutorials on ReefCentral. That is where I learned how to do this. Just google 'foam rock wall reef tank' and you will see a bunch pop up.

  • what kinda sand is that?

  • @pbmaniac2009 It is white aragonite from Fiji.

  • I hate organizing rocks in my tank, but you did a nice setup.

  • That is great looking rock work! Looking forward to updates.

  • any recent updates on this tank?

  • Your rock work looks really good! How did you get the rocks to stand up with out falling? Did you use pond or insulation foam? Also did you use an egg crate or did you put the foam right on the back of that tank? Thanks for your time. Chris

  • how do you keep your water so clear????
