These guys are so full of shit. I would really respect them more if they just came out and said, "We don't give a fuck about this series, this character, the old cast, the fans, none of that. We just want your money. We aren't creative enough to come up with our own shit, so we're gonna rip off as many established titles and characters as we can." At least be honest you two-bit fucking hacks. If Robert Shaye were still at New Line this movie would have NEVER happened. FUCK these guys!

i dont get it, its a nightmare on elm street but its not happening on elm street, freddys making them go to a fucking pre school in there dreams and it ends at the school, it should have just been called nightmare on a preschool fuck

this movie was rubbish, and boring. even the Halloween remake was better than this.

The acting was dreadful. and the characters all sucked.

It was a waste of money. The original was good, perfect setting, and interesting characters. brilliant villain, amusing, and scary.

They said "Robert Englund does not want to do the movie". There is nothing to say they offered him the role of Freddy. If they did offer him the role the most likely would have tried to lowball him in which case he would have said no. Their choice of wording makes me think that they did not want him and gave him a half arsed offer that they knew he would not accept so that they would not look like complete arseholes. JJ Abrams is guilty of similar shit regarding the Shat.

What I hated most about the remake is that they completely changed the plot, and made "Old" Freddy a completely stereotype child molester, instead of a child slasher. Damn. Also, no one, and I mean NO ONE can play the act of Freddy other than Robert Englund. I gave it a chance, but it just doesn't work.

i think this movie isn't so bad , i've saw it to the cinema, but the two stories aren't equal and there isn't Robert Englund :'(... apart this isn't so bad for to be a remake. ( i am a italian girl :) ...a kiss from italy )
