Eagle's Nest is a deep cave in FL just north of Tampa. It used to be concidered the Mt. Everest of Cave dives to many technical divers. Its remote, over 300ft deep in areas and very unique! For more info and videos visit www.LiquidProductions.com

As a climber and a tech diver, this is very much on par with with "everest" Mt Everest since 2006 over 3000 people have been successful on reaching the summit in 11,000 tries. A very hight success rate in "hard" climbing terms. Mt Everest in climbing terms if far from the hardest. Now Bushmansgat and Sra Kao are more along the lines of a K2 or a South Face of Lhotse. Eagles nest is a very proud dive and should be treated with respect.

When I was inside the "ballroom", I noticed that the Florida limerock/stone had a weird tecture to it...kinda like a porous sponge. I believe its the walls that act a natural multi stage filter, resulting in such crystal clear waters. On the ledge inside the ballroom, there were some catfishes as well.

Dahab's Blue Hole is so different. Its innocously serene, and lulls you into complacency. In contrast, Eagle's Nest instantly keeps you on your toes. Highly intimidating.

Gone are the days of driving up to the mosquito infested pond and quietly clipping your stage bottles to the tree trying not to elicit the attention of the rednecks hooting and hollering at the fish camp next door especially after having been instructed by them that "If'n I see you two divin round hear again I'm gonna shoot them tanks offa your backs".

I took a dip in this spring to cool off after a day hiking in the woods. Diddn't realize it was a 'big daddy' of the cave diving world.
