We ask you to change the Slavic name of our city and to bring back the real Macedonian name heraclea .

If Alexander the great could talk this is what he would ask from us. We are not slavs we are Macedonians.

Bitola is a Slavic name . The Slavic Bulgarian bitola name should be removed dear Mayor.

We must bring back the genuine Macedonian name of our city. not forget that Alexander believed he was a descendent of Hercules .

Bitola is 99% christian city-this muslim buildings are from Otoman(turkish period) when turks were 500 years in macedonia and bitola was one of the capital cityes in that time the biggest cultural economic war center on the balkan.. but in the first world war bitola is completly destroyed..because the front line pass true the city.. but this beautiful city never lost his spirit.. you must to be from bitola to know what im talking about:) and yes the old name on bitola was manastir(chirch)
