This is the little church where I learned about Jesus. The people were incredibly sweet and loving. It was a largely Welsh mining community and there used to be a wonderful mural on the wall behind the pulpit, depicting Christ among the miners, and I knew some of those who modeled for it. That wall was painted over years ago and I can't even tell if it still stands. What a pity. After fifty years I can still hear the trembling voices of the little old ladies singing "The Old Rugged Cross".
I have seen this done 2 times...both times it turned out perfect.
As much as I hate seeing a church building abandoned I would love to own one.
I do know that the people who bought the churches I saw had to put a staggering amount of money into restoring them to living spaces.
The one in this video is an outstanding example of what can be done.
Kudos
I live in the Southwest U.S. and there are a few available. (barely a few).
The temptation to go for it is nearly overwhelming.
