I do not understand why people insist that Franco was not much of a vocalist. There was none better and he knew where his voice suited best and it's such a beautiful voice you just cannot ignore. What voice would have made this song better that the perfection it is. Tabu Ley?

you could not ask for more! African musicians need to learn from this.

Eza premier foix na yoki nzembo oyo. Eza kitoko makasi. Na sepeli na ngao mingi.

Apparently Tabu Ley made a comment recentlythat Franco became a good singer toward the end of his career. This song is another evidence that Luambo Franco was a good singer as he was a guitarist. He started his musical career as singer not the other way around according to his guitar's master 'Dewayon'. I don't believe that Tabu will make such a comment. Thanks Aboub for posting this tune

Génial le Grand-Maître!
This just confirms again (as if that were at all necessary, ever!) Franco's greatness as an all-round Artiste: singer, songwriter, guitarist, band leader. The guitar riff from 2:03 to 2:50 totally blows my mind! This guy should be in the World Guitar Geniuses Hall of Fame next to Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, But, alas, Franco was working his magic in Africa mostly before Africa's music got on the world stage. I salute him for paving the way...

@amanman1000 Putting him on the same level as Hendrix as a guitar player, yeah, there is something to say for that. But Clapton, no... Hendrix wrote the dictionary for the electric rock guitar, as Franco did for Electric African guitar, in a sense... But Clapton's importance simply was not of the same magnitude.
