Penn Jillette's Sunday School Podcast has gotten a lot of attention after Penn went off on an Obama rant. At the center of the rant was the marijuana laws of California.

Magician Penn Jillette, of Penn & Teller, is angry at President Obama. He let the world know it during his podcast this past weekend. The rant was sparked after he and co-host, Michael Goudeau, pointed out the hypocrisy of a marijuana mention in Obama's 1995 memoir, "Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance".

In the memoir, Obama writes of his marijuana usage and adds "maybe a little blow," which set Penn off. "If Obama had been caught with the marijuana that he says he uses, and 'maybe a little blow'... if he had been busted under his laws, he would have done hard f*cking time," the magician says.

Although Penn himself has never tried marijuana or had a drink in his life, he stands up for pot smokers everywhere by calling out the government's marijuana policy on absolutely hypocritical and ludicrous.

They absolutely should. The whole thing is a farce! There is no reason for cannabis to be illegal other than protecting profit margins.

Penn is right, but one thing about it is that under certain circumstances should this be a policy.

If only it was that simple. Very few people are in jail for a marijuana offence ONLY. Whatever happens, the current drug laws need to change to allow people to be free to use marijuana just like tthe laws allow people (ie respnsible adults) to use alcohol or tobacco. End of
