  • I see you've had the paxton for quite a while.

How is the Auto transmission holding up?

Did you rebuild your engine or transmission?

I have an 05 GT and thinking seriously of a Paxton Novi 2200 from brenspeed.

But heard that the 3rd gear clutches go fast on the 5R55S with forced induction, also the input shaft is not that strong.

How do you like your Paxton?

  • I did break an input shaft but that was because I cranked the pressure all the way up so it would shift Freakin hard...My fault.

I would say with the stock tranny and a basic Paxton H.O. kit you should be fine for quite some time. I was running 12lbs. of boost and was always runnin the crap out of it. After 8000 miles with the supercharger And an extreme tune from Brenspeed that was only for the track, but I ran it everyday, I blew the motor.

  • is the the paxton novi supercharger??

  • Yep, Novi 2200.

  • The 5spd auto will take a pounding (I know) but the weak link is the small 5/8" input shaft.

  • @JoNNyJ777 gas cap maybe? I dunno seems odd otherwise.

  • @jumpforfakinjoy what kind of horsepower gains are you looking at with a supercharger and intercooler thinking of doing it to a 2011 mustang v6

  • why is the fuel light on when u have a lot of gas in the car? LOL

  • The stock block is able to handle over 400rwhp but to boost it u need to high comp all the internals we've done it at our shop and ran em like dogs and they've never blown on us

  • @jumpforfakinjoy People often think that the stock block is strong enough to be boosted, it's not. We see blown stock bottom end motors at the shop daily and almost all of them say the same thing, "I thought these motors were safe for 400rwhp". Nope.

  • impossible sorry lol

  • Do you think the Paxton NOVI 1200 would be a better choice for someone trying to get extra power AND pro-long the life of your engine?

  • No DR's.... It hooked good with the 295 Toyo's and it felt like it was that fast.... I never timed it but it pulled hard!
