Consider Chryslers sales numbers vs. GM's, Chrysler's message was more effective... despite where it's vehicles were made.

I daily drive one of GM's Canadian imports :D

Except, you could argue that the concept was imported from US.

Either way you can easily grasp the point that it's a GM vehicle that showed up elsewhere, and is now coming to GM's country. Spiritually, Spark is coming home.

It's actually a lot better than Chrysler's slogan, because there's absolutely no way of skewing that to make it sound okay. The 300 and Dodge Charger & Challenger, featured in the biggest ads, get made in Canada. Durango is the only Detroit Dodge/Chrysler, 200 in a suburb.

At least Chrysler says "Imported from Detroit". While stupid terminology... it's effective.
