Irina Slutskaya - Requiem for a(n Olympic) dream

This is my tribute for my favorite figure skater, Irina Slutskaya.
I miss her so much. She didn't win an olympic gold, but she's my olympic champion.

I DONT like this video cuz most of the footage inhere has not been taken from Olympics. And all the drama was when she fell on the triple loop at the Olympics. To be an Olympic champion was her dream. So the author of this video should have put Olympic 2006 footage in the end.

omg helyszinelokfan i adore u just for being a fan of irina... shes my favorite too

actually i had never watched figure skating until 2005

and the first figure skating program i ever watched was irina's GORGEOUS lp at the 2005 worlds and it wasnt even the whole program it was the very last part, starting with the double axel... that little moment totally changed my life

she may not be an Olympic gold medallist in figure skating

but she is an olympic gold medallist in life

I miss her so much, I'm her fan since 2000, her LP, the Carmen was great and when I watched it at first, I said, she's great, I like her skating.

I was a little sad because she didn't won olympic gold, but I still think she skated well and she's her fans truly champion.

She's my favorite as well and has been ever since I can remember. Such a beautiful skater, she has so much talent and was so graceful.♥ The music is absolutely gorgeous as well, it's my favorite song right now.♥

You have got to see the most recent video of Irina Slutskaya in her electrifying performance during an exhibition of Golden Skate Awards 2009. She will literally blow you away.

The video is great, wonderful highlights from Irina's skating career. Just one drawback in my opinion - you chose a very unflattering angle to show her fall in the Olympics programme. Who cares that she didn't win the Olympics? With all the mark-fixing at the Olympics one soon will be embarrassed to call themselves an Olympic champion. Irina's a class of her own, an inspiration, and we love her forever.
