This video demonstrates our software package Articulis, which can be used to plan orthopaedic surgical procedures, in this case shoulder arthroplasty, or shoulder replacement surgery.

After extraction of the bone models the system automatically creates a surgical plan. Bone-determined range of motion is simulated and continuously updated while the clinician makes adjustments to the plan. Green surfaces denote that the adjustments improve the range of motion in that area while red surfaces denote that there is a deterioration. In this way the surgeon can optimise the pre-operative plan with regards to range of motion.

The software is continued as a commercial product by Clinical Graphics: http://www.clinicalgraphics.com
