Spongebob is still massive in the States. It won't die any time soon. Hell, it's getting HIGHER ratings now than in 1999. And as dumb as most Yanks are, at least some of them can spell. You can't, however.

Oh am I? Is that why Miyazaki wanted to get the animation outsoruced to South Korea, when they were working on Spirited Away due to time contrainsts? Is that why most anime these days have South Korean animation directors/key animators?

Games are a different beast to anime, so don't lump them together. You also do know that the Japanese don't really care about the plot, but more about character development and the characters, right? Anime has never dominated western cartoons in America, outside of Cartoon Network and that was when DBGT/DBZ was airing. After that, however.........

America can´t admit that their stuff is bs and they need help for everything. I say it again, popularity doesnt mean selling numbers. why did spongebob died so fast in popularity scale? dumb people buy dumb shit, 80% of the world population is dumb, no wonder something like a iphone gets sold a billion times.actually. Both Cartoons and Anime had its down times the fable for pokemon lasted longer though.

thats cuz american people are braindead xD

The best proof is serieses like American Dad and Drawn Together, they suck to hard to animate something with a good plot, But American people dont care about a fucking plot, either they are just like laughing their asss out over random bullshit, or they are supercritical on films. Also they WAS scared, why do you think only a couple of animes get released in America?Same with the games, actually they didnt wanted to release pokemon

Cartoons had a culture too , but it got lost kinda, the culture of Animes wents back way farer besides, actually it started to develope out of games first as merchandise and stuff.

but Anime isn´t a category ,maybe category of filmtypes but not sorted in animation. EVER heard of the J-Style? J-Style was developed from japan, cuz they wanted to change the way comics are drawn, so they drawn mangas in this new style. To have a own product.Later they included the J-style in Animes, Anime ISNT a adoption or genre from any kind, its a own genre. Now dont tell me Comics are older than Mangas...

it is not Anime is a new version, you say it again as it is a copy, but it isnt its a better version Anime is the cartoon 2.0 get over it. Anime comes from animeshon and in america and france they call it different as a part of animated cartoons, but Anime just refers ONLY to Cartoons made in JAPAN how often should i say that? I compared Japan with America not with other lands, so dont change the theme.neither its a genre, do you even know what the meaning of genre is? IT means category.
