The Grateful Dead performance at Woodstock 1969 was riddled with with electrical shock hazard and therefore not an ample depiction of the psychedelic rock band's full potential. Regardless, the Dead managed to captivate the crowd and to this day are the first band to come to mind when psychedelic rock is mentioned. See their performance of "Lovelight" at the legendary concert.

@FrequentlyFried the dead played shitty because this was after the rain and bob phil and jerry were all getting shocked by their instruments, and the audience was being put to sleep not because the dead played their usual 2-4 hour sets, but because they were already fatigued from the previous day. Grateful dead are hundreds of times better than john fogarty could ever hope to be, the dead survived 3 decades while john couldn't even keep his band together because he was an asshole. Dumb ass.

37 minutes is RIDICULOUS,they should ended it alot sooner it's just annoying especially the guy at the start .."THERE'S A THIRD COAST"  lol it's terrible but comical.John Fogherty was pissed because he had to come after this shit he said so in a guitar world interview..said they put the crowd to sleep. Zeppelin could play a 30 minute song and make it intense and exciting and I'm sure the dead did too at times but Zeppelin could NEVER be this bad. And I like the Dead on the Festival Express.
