Print from your iDevice to ANY PRINTER with Print n Share

In this episode of Tech Time with mikebed96, I demonstrate the Print n Share app, available for $8.99 on the Apple App Store. This app allows you to print from your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad to ANY printer, even USB printers! (In order to print to USB printers, you must download the free WePrint program onto your computer.)

Even though AirPrint is coming sometime this month with the release of iOS 4.2.1, you must have an AirPrint compatible printer or a Mac with AirPrint capabilities. If you don't have either of these, then Print n Share is a GREAT app! You can print just about any document your device can view, any email, any webpage, and any image. It can also print out a page with a contacts information on it taken right from your Contacts app.

(Please note, the documents usually do not take as long to print as they did in this video. I believe that my WiFi router was being used in other parts of the house and was slowed down a lot. In past experiences, the files usually print really fast, even when going through the WePrint program on the computer.)

You can print to Wi-Fi printers, Bluetooth printers, networked printers, and USB printers*.

*Must have the free WePrint program on computer to print to a USB printer.

I need to print directly from my Ipad to a bluetooth printer without being in a WIFI environement. I think Print n Share enables me to do that. Can you recommend a bluetooth printer that works well with the Ipad?

@alexeshafer Just about any bluetooth printer should work. You don't need Print n Share to use a bluetooth printer; just connect the printer to your device via the Bluetooth settings in the Settings app. Make sure you have iOS 4.2.1, the latest firmware, to have printing support. The printer should work fine then.
