  • Man o man, it's gonna look SO good by the time you are finally done. I'm in awe of your many talents, Keone! And your Mom is blessed to have you as a son! I enjoy working w/ my hands, too.

Believe it or not, I worked construction back in the mid 80's...I wore a hard hat, and steel tipped shoes, and I was the only woman working w/ big crews of men. I worked w/ all of the trades...pipefitters, electricians, and I even did a little welding, but my fave was the acetelyne torch.

  • Yeah Baby, it should look real good I'm doing it all for my "Mommy" who's 75. She did so much for me & still is...she deserves my very best work. My ex-father-in-law was 1 of Hawaiian Dredging's best carpenters, he did a long stint on his own building custom-made houses. I was a helper, mostly for stocking materials while he & Gary-Boy did the building part. I also operated all his rented heavy equipment, & drove trucks...

  • good job & nice of you to do all that !

    5*'s

  • Mahalo a nui loa for the comment...been doing this by myself...no help whatsoever...

My reward is my Mommy'z happiness, she's 75 now, no husbands to fix her place & only 1 son (me) out of 3 with the time to go this far for her.

  • Yeah `Ai no...wateva Auntie like, Auntie get...uddawize bumbai soa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We lost Kalahikiola Church to this Earthquake as well as the Smokestack

for the Hawi Mill...was heart wrenching for

me being a Big Island Boy w/roots here in North Kohala.

  • Yeah, @ 3 3/8"-4" Aloha...WIDE moldings...maybe do some vertical

    uphill w/7018's with several good

    cover passes...LOL

  • 3 3/8" according to my measuring tape...I need to create the illusion of the structure as being straight. My mom doesn't have the resources to square off the house with the `Ohana Unit/Garage, so it's up to me to blend the buildings together and create

storage space for my mom's stuff so I can open up my shop next year.
