@jamesperrett5894 What's mavalose mean? Maybe you meant marvelous?

It's sad. These things were once state of the art. They would run and get their jobs done. To me each locomotive, even when they are the same class, are individual. Each locomotive lived its own life, had its own adventures, and shared a bond with each person who stepped into the cab. But when the next model came out, they noticed a change. They were used less and less until we finally tossed them out like an old toy. Machines like these deserve to be run, and not left in a cold siding.

Thank you to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway for starting a 'revolution' by rescuing the 43924 4F.

@Mallard971 The Yard had the contract to dispose of the steam engines from Brtitish rail under the modernisation plan during the '60s when they went to diesel traction. the locos were there until the '80s due to the yard being busy cutting up freight wagons instead-plus the owner may have been a little unwilling to cut them up while there was a chance of selling them complete. as most of them were

Thank you to all those goods wagons who sacrificed their lives enough to allow nearly all of the steam engines at Barry scrapyard to escape and start a new life somewhere in the country. R.I.P all those brave wagons.
