The driver of the Ford Focus here shows little or no skills in car positioning.

As she gets the angle completely wrong she holds up the traffic and then decides that next door is close enough...

The L-plates suggest there is a learner but the driver was alone; which means either she is driving illegally, or passing on some bad skills. Either way, L-plates shouldn't be displayed on a car that isn't being driven by a learner. I suspect that she wouldn't pass her test with this standard of driving.

  • 1.The driver made an error (what are you perfect or something).

2.Just because there are L plates it doesn't mean the driver is a learner or an instructor. This person may have no connection with driving tuition or be teaching anyone to drive!

3.It is NOT illegal to reverse onto an A road!

    4. I suggest you buy a copy of 'Driving the Essential Skills' and brush up on yours

  • It would be a woman. It looks like she just turned too early & decided to back onto an A-road (illegal) regardless of other road users.

  • I'm 17 And Going to be driving my dads Ford Focus ST, On L Plates found an insurance company that will let a learner drivin on his car for a month ;D cant wait.

  • @backinblack19 Its a FORD! Need I say more?

  • TYPICAL FORD driver! Check my channel! I have 2 idiots behind the wheels of Fords and its not even a week old yet!

  • That is a nice car with a bad driver

  • All that want to learn to drive should go to this type of school, basic car knowlege, spacial awareness and car control should be part 1,lift the level of driver learning out of the stoneage, retest every 20 years of holding a licence and crush any car that does not have full certification.

  • @outithewoods How many of the fines go to the DVLA though? Also... we can be pretty sure the funds from fines are already allocated to something else... so building these centres would cost extra.

What happens to all the people that learn with family - will they now have to learn at a centre? I don't think basic road skills are the majority of the issue... though

  • with the money the DVLA get from all the road fines they could build regonal driver insrtuction testing tracks and test to a higher standard instead of using public roads.

  • @outithewoods Not everywhere has access to a TRACK.

But it would be handy... most instructors around here take new drivers to the quietest place they can find (our industrial estate, big and wide and little amount of cars).
