About TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Fear is temporary. Regret is forever.

I've lived through these same things he's talking about, I still am, I'm still conquering those fears. Being on the other side of them, actually finding that you do survive anything, is a feeling that is entirely inexpressible. Like flying.

What I would like to point out, which I've found to blow my mind with the realization of, is that there's this paradox.

If we do nothing, we stay idle, but we go backwards regardless.

If we try, failure or success, we go forward regardless.

China, Russia, and Iran have entered into a tri-lateral agreement to control oil flow to Europe. Iran is now supported by both in its hegemonic ambitions to control the the Straights of Hormuz which could threaten world oil supplies. Russia has insulated itself into the Georgia again and China has warned the U.S. to stay out of its conflict with Japan. Yes. Another country would attempt to create an empire. Would you feel secure if that country was China or Russia? It wouldn't be India.

If there wouldnt be USA, sure, there would be another imperialistic country, another empire trying to spread. Like always. China might not rule the Pacific rim and Russia might not control Europe. You can't say what would happen if something would be different in the past. Also people emigrate to many other countries to try theirs luck. Also ppl from US go to India etc. And so you know, other countries have freedom too. Even better than USA. Just saying. Truth tho US citizens have great spirit.

this is all ambiguous, avoidance of regret may lead to drawbacks and you can't really regret when you realise we don't have free-will and that everything is based on causality

Not awesome? Seventy-five people + were dying each day from a tyran'ts hand. That's not "awesome". It's diabolical. A leader gassing 100,000 of his own people? Second, were it not for the U.S's military might, China would be rule the Pacific rim and Russia would control most of central and western Europe. Third, capitalism is here to stay. Thousands emigrate to the US. each day to accomplish their dreams, experience freedom, and the U.S. is still the most charitable nation on earth.

Oh I'm not saying it was awesome before. Just saying that USA is not helping that much. Capitalism needs to conquer otherwise its going to die, we can see it slowly dying today because it has hard time to spread. USA is the most military country in the world, yet they say we want to give you democracy, so we bomb your country to nothin. After that they go there, build everything up again. Why? Well, good money from that, right. And btw, I think Americans are awesome, just your politicians sux.

Do you realize that according to a study at Stanford and The Documental Centre for Human Rights in Iraq over 600,000 civilian executions in Iraq and 500,000 Iraqis died in the war with Iran. Thats's more than 75 a day. Are you suggesting Americans are killing that man each day since the war ended?

You are similarly unaware that a U.N. report attributed 76% pf civilian deaths in Afghanistan to the Taliban.

Nice try with the anti-American propaganda.
