WHY SHOULD I CARE?

It's a portrait of the death of local business at the hands of large corporations. It's a complex look at race and class and gentrification. It explores the expectations put upon us by society, and the many ways we rebel against those expectations.

BUT DESPITE ALL THAT, it's a profound and deeply witty portrait of two charac
ters as their lives begin to intertwine, and they fi nd themselves transforming from strangers into friends.

The Live Arts cast includes Isaih Anderson, Chris Baumer, Preston Carey, Shawn Hirabayashi, Jason Jones, Diane Key, Sean McCord, Tim McNamara, and Geri Schirmer.

Live Arts, forging theater and community since 1990, is located in the heart of
downtown Charlottesville at 123 East Water Street, just off the Downtown Mall.
