I'm starting to get some confidence with this jet and slowing it down. The Mirage flies in the slow flight regime very predictably. The only problem is getting it to slow down! During this flight I probably slowed the model down to 40 km/h, and the maximum speed was confirmed by GPS to be 200 km/h on the nose!
Brian, are those Velocity RC Mirage's planes prototypes also? I can not find them listed on the Velocity website. I would like to consider putting a Cool 42 into a HET F-16 with either the WM400MK2 or HET 6904 fan, something I can hand launch myself, like I do now with a Phase 3 F-16. More questions and research to follow. Thanks for the previous reply and for providing your interesting and helpful uploaded videos.

@TheClownBrain The jet can be found on Velocity-RC's website, I'll message you the link (I can't link in a comment).
I'm glad you enjoy the videos!

Brian, awsome! Are you using the Velocity B28L60 4200kv Motor? tia
TheClownBrain 9 months ago
@TheClownBrain No, it's very similar though. It's a slightly shorter can (same style) and 3950kv. It's a prototype, I don't know if they're going to carry it, or if they are going to stick with just the "Cool 42" that you described.
