I think when you're starting out using a new program, aim to do it the hardest way. In the process you'll begin discovering easier methods or shortcuts of using the program. I don't know if that makes sense? Plus animation, 2D or 3D, takes a lot of patience. And my mentors have been insisting on always adding something extra that will separate you from a bunch of animations already out there. Hope that helped.

one quick question do u draw ur characters in flash or do u draw them in paper and scan them and then animate them ?
