Berkeley 'New Star' official video.
The dynamic 3-piece rock band formed in Donegal, Republic of Ireland in January 2001. Their first year was spent writing material for their debut album and playing throughout Ireland. An early decision to find someone who could capture their live sound without studio trickery was realised in November 2001 when the band travelled to Chicago to record their debut album 'Hope, Prayers and Bubblegum' with the legendary Steve Albini at the controls at his Electrical Audio Studio. 15 tracks were recorded and the first release from this session, 'New Star', saw its release on November 11 2002.
One of my favourite bands... Truly epic.

"One of the greatest bands of all time."
Slight overstatement, no?

Anyone know if they are still together? I have both their albums but there's no info on their site about new gigs or anything and it hasn't been updated in yonks. Hopefully they aren't on permanent hiatus. That would suck balls. Maybe their busy recording more stuff?

Berkeley are amazing. One of the greatest bands of all time. They should be massive world wide. It puzzles me.
May they make music like this for a long long time.
