The event took place at the Brecht Forum on October 15, 2009. He was introduced by Michael Smith. Commentary was made by Joel Kovel - Author of Overcoming Zionism and questions were taken from the audience. The event was approximately two hours duration. @Mrsjonnelle I agree with you. For what little we do know of Jesus, the people of the region of Canaan had wavy hair, and medium to dark skin. This I don't deny. Nor has it ever been proven Israelites were slaves in Egypt from all the archeological digs and research. Consider this. Because they had curly, or wavy hair, or even medium to dark skin won't prove a race of African descent. Even certain customs they learned from the Egyptians at the time, like the tying of the hair. We just don't know
