no if an offensive player attempts a layup and it hit the backboard, no one can touch it, or else it'd be a goaltending. whether its on its way up or down. and NBA ref explained this on the NBA website. and look at the ball at 1:21 to 1:22 it obviously gained speed, cuz it hit the backboard first, then smith grabbed it

I'm pretty sure that even if it hits the backboard you can pin it up but you can't smack it back into the backboard, but it doesn't even matter because the ball hadn't hit the backboard and wasn't on it's way down when Josh Smith grabbed it.

Two Lithuanians in a row lol. (#9 and #8)

no. if the ball is on its way up and hasnt touched the backboard, u can pin it. if its on the way down or if it touched the backboard, u cant touch it.

I know this was from a month ago, but if you pin it up against the glass it is not goaltending.
yea but u cant touch a ball after it hits the backboard, thats a goaltending too. and J Smoove clearly blocked the ball after it bounced off the glass
