Review: Bobbi Brown Extra Repair SPF 25 Foundation

I love to use a regular foundation brush with this but I have noticed that I get like "crumbs" after I blend this in alot on my face. I haven't quite figured out if its the foundation, my brush, or my primer, but i just dust it off with a fluffy brush. I know, sounds gross but I like this so much I'll deal with that. It does not affect the foundation though.


Yes I know this is for oily skin but I love it. Also I know that I am an NC42 and this may seem light but I have a bobbi brown foundation in Honey 5.0 which is the next shade up from this one (warm natural 4.5) and honey is too dark for me. I have recently tried another foundation by bobbi brown, the oil free compact foundation in warm natural 4.5 and it is too light and I will be sending it back. So I guess the color can vary from foundation. Also because this is a sheer/medium coverage foundation it blends in with the skin so you have more wiggle room. The Bobbi Brown Illuminating Foundation Powder in 4.5 that I set it with also tends to deepen the foundation a little bit to make it blend in with my skin. So together they are a perfect match and look super natural. I do use bronzer just because I like that look. Overall I would recommend this for normal to dry skin, but if you are oily and are looking for a not cakey foundation and don't mind blotting a few times a day, this is a nice alternative.

Nice video. Im oily and I want to try this foundation. You mentioned that your skin improved due to a better skin care routine, what are you doing different? Your skin looks amazing.

@TKDGal76 well currently I am not using this foundation because i'm in a very hot climate and it is too much. But as far as skin care I have really just simplified my skin care and makeup. I was putting too many things on my face. Now I use this calming cleasnser with jojoba from AcneFree from the drugstore and their rapid acne foam in the morning. Then I use Aveeno, clean and clear moisturizer at night and Origins Charcoal mask or kate somerville exfolikate when I need a deep cleaning

Wow this looks good on u (or rather yr skin looks good), I recently got the BB powder in orange2 wear over current, now I want to get a BB foundation that is good 4 dry skin cuz mine is very dry ESP in winter, I have pretty clear smoth skin, however I do prefer a full coverage.

This just looks so good I wonder if I could mix w/ a heavier foundation. Thx.

@SamFem This would be great for dry skin. Very moisturizing. You definately feel it on your skin though. This would be perfect if you have pretty clear skin also. I think you'll like it. It's not super full coverage, but medium coverage.

@BobbiBrownFanatic After wearing it for a while I still like it, but it can be heavy. I don't wear a moisturizer because it can be too much. Since your not too oily you should be ok, otherwise this is a high maintinence foundation

Hey Girl!, I have normal to oily skin and I'm so happy that you seem to like this Bobbi foundation. I've been curious about trying it myself. So I was wondering do you still use the Extra Repair foundation?? And if you do do you use a moisturizer underneath since you are oily?? Thanks!! Ciao
