There's cats everywhere that have 'bobbed' tails. Its not an uncommon thing, just seen less often. A cat three houses down and two streets over from mine has a bobbed tail, and its a very playful cat.

i heard that the cat tail is for "balancing". I wonder if this cat can climp and do stuff like ouhter cats without a tail...

日本の九州地方、長崎県の猫は、尻尾が短い猫が多いです。
尻尾が短い猫の尻尾のことを「鍵尻尾」と呼びます:D
幸せを鍵尻尾にひっかけてやってくるというジンクスもあります。

The cat born in Japanese Kyushu has many cats which a tail has a short.
I say a key tail, and there is the legend to splash happiness on the tail.
