  • My deepest respect to the official who had lost his parents, wife and 2 children in the earthquake. Here is a brave selfless, responsible HERO who could still stand and perform his duty when he faced all odds of losing all his loved ones! I Salute you! My deepest condolence and heartfelt sympathy to you. May your loved ones rest in peace.

  • I believe Chinese goverment has already tried its best to save people. The president of China has been to the most dangerous place since the next day of earthquake. Most of the roads were blocked by erosion. And the weather was so bad. They tried many many ways to get the place.

  • @noryak19 Before or after he destroys it? lulz...

Tragic loss though, unfortunate for them but maybe they can rebuild their new homes so they can withstand earthquakes.

  • I hate the fact that CNN tries to imply that the PLA and Government did nothing to to help the people. "simply left there until soldiers take them away" what is wrong with CNN???

  • God Bless Sichuan.

  • @RESPECTME90 deeply sorry for hearing about this, life in china is so hard to take tragedy things like this, can't expect which citizen can be rich, but need a whole country strong fair, rich and power

  • @shawn20062009 This officer committed suicide a year ago. RIP! He is indeed a good man. Just like what we call those who are like him in China: good public servant.
