He can mock our 70s cars all he wants, but those were the days! Rumbling, Big Block V-8s could still be bought off the showroom floor! There will never be anything else like a Big Block! Too bad young folks can't learn that! OK! So I wasn't born until 79, but at least I know the difference between a Big Block and a Small Block!

the 70s, is probably the worst decade for cars, theres a seriously huge amount of terrible cars made at that period and i mean everywhere, like the morris marina for example...there are more bad cars than good cars at that time IMO

@pyromcr They would be fine, but the driver and passengers, not so much. These days it's the other way around, which I prefer.
I love how Clarkson tries to insult someone else's hair when he has a gigantic public muff on his head

@llpalm08 "old Mustangs but even they are huge for some reason."
They weren't for american cars, but american cars at the time were big because they could be. They roads and spaxces were big. They were before the days of cheap flights and US public wanted to go on long hot road trips they wanted a car that spacious enough and was full of comfort gadgets. They didn't want to be stuck in ahumid shoebox car. Also a big car was needed to accomodate a large heavy duty engine.
