You're comparing different technologies, and as someone said before, different OS versions uses less memory. You should take into account Memory, processor, OS and disk(s) latency.

first, thats not a macbook, second macbooks are crap compared to powerbook G4 titaniums (the aluminum editions had technical issues)

i like how the oldest imac is running osx and the newer one is running os9
