Tom Cruise is back for another impossible mission, but this time he ushers in the live action debut of geek-favorite animation director Brad Bird, and does his own stunts on the top of the world's tallest building. Dan, Alex, and Jeff find their own building to stand atop, and even get in on some Cruise-inspired hooded attire to accomplish this high-octane mission. Where does it rate in the MI franchise - and is it worth your holiday movie dollar?

I watched this movie yesterday too. It was really good. I was surprised. It was funny, suspenseful and the story wasn't bad. it was tight.

@backpacker905 The only guy that knows what hes talking about is the dude with the hoody on.The other 2 R idiots on almost all the reviews..lol.Haywire better than this MI film..LOL???This movie was the BEST MI film by far in action,car chases,stunts,story,exciting throughtout the entire movie,great special effects&gadgets,etc...

This was a refreshing change of pace from the other M:I films. It had some of the best action of the year and a few of the most thrilling sequences I've seen in a long time. I think my heart stopped, when Hunt almost fell off the Dubai building.

I'd think that if Alfred Hitchcock were to make a Mission Impossible film, it would be the first movie. DePalma really brought his Hitchcock-esque style to that movie

@2nd3rd1st Good point. I forgot about people who pay money to watch movies. Personally, I think the industry is in some insanely priced bubble so I totally support rad piracy for all blockbusters. Tho, I also have a nice home theater and no isp dl limit and found a hassle free network for getting 1080p releases.

Critics seem to just invent things to be negative about. I'm not saying that is the case here, but just generally speaking.

This film actually has a 95% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, however. That's higher than any of the previous films by a vast margin.

@jgbloyd Thing is I would directly support the movie and the notion that Cruise needs to be cast in other movies too. I can't do that, he's an immoral person and deceitful.
