Puppy can run entirely frm RAM and give yur brusted old computer a new life.

Puppy can boot frm almost anything (USB, Flash Drive, CD)

The only reason Windows is popular is it comes pre installed on yur computer. As a matter of face most of the users are newbies and can't really workout or don't care about other stuff (even they are better than M$)
