When Unions had more membership, the economy was great. What's happening to America? When you Union busters get your way, America will be like other countries with slave labor. Get smart and join a Union. UNION YES!

@Julietjeske Your family is lucky. Some unions do have "enforcers" that "persuade" people to do certain things. Anyone remember the movie "Blue Collar" and how that union (in the movie) acted? All I care about is both sides allowing me to make a decision based on facts and NOT through coersion or intimidation by either management or a member of a crime "family" based out of NYC.

Why NOT a SECRET ballot? What is to prevent a "union" from sending "representatives" to my home and "persuading" me to join a union, even when I really do NOT want to join one?

The Employee No Choicew Act is bad. We need to maintain a secret ballot. The union equals mafia

My father was in a union for over 30 years. My mother was in a union for around 20, don't believe all the negative hype about unions. They helped my family in more ways than I could fit in this comment. Neither union was run by thugs or involved with crime. He was a proud member of Gas Workers Local 11-6.

Unions campaign for safer working environments, workers' compensation, decent wages and working conditions...the only people who wouldn't support this act are those who have been hoodwinked by big business, Wall Street and Corporate propaganda. Strong union make a strong people make a strong America. Employee Choice Act sounds very good to me.
Employee Free Choice Act is a great idea it will give working men and women a chance to become Union members without undue pressure from management.

Remember that a "secret ballot", HAS TO be a secret from EMPLOYERS too, right now it isn't.
The problem is, the union-busting industry is a multi-billion dollar cash cow.
Companies hire union-busters to find out employees opinions & fire union supporters. They hold captive audiences, use intimidating one-on-one interviews were they study their employees body language to determine if the employee
supports a union.
If you don't believe me do a search for-secret ballot in name only.
