Louis is best.

He was just full of joy, wasn't he!

Well, all I can say is that after 52 years of listening to Louis, he still brings a smile to my face, a thrill to my heart and a whole new listening experience every time. I saw him twice, when 59 and 61 - in Toronto's venerated Massey Hall. Talk about bringing the house down. He did not need the centre-stage microphone. Indeed, it was a good thing he backed away from it at least 10 feet. I have NEVER heard a horn fill a hall like his, including all musical styles.
